SubhanAllah yesterday I attended a new memorization/tajweed/arabic class at a masjid in the westend & as we were walking downstairs leaving for salatul-Asr; A sister told me she has to show me something & it was a flyer posted on a door for a celebration happening. The heading was MAULD-AL-NABI / BIRTHDAY OF THE PROPHET! Authobillah; we tried to give the benefit of the doubt since the masjid is very big Ma'sha'Allah & often times people rent it out -- but as I kept analyzing it, I see the Masjids logo & their email. It was so shocking let me add --GIFTS FOR KIDS was on it. La Hawla Wa La Quwata Illah Billah I was so confused as to why they would do it knowing it's Bidah (Innovation) so we're deciding on researching out the speaker + figuring out if us being present at that masjid & (it does Bidah) is okay for us even though we don't support it. Strickly there for Quran class, wallahu alam.
May Allah protect us from the evils of Bidah & all forms of it ! Ameen.
