The Ruling on Women carrying Weapons

Q: What is the ruling on women carrying weapons?
A: (Women carrying weapons) is imitating the men. The Messenger (sallAllaahu ‘alahi wa sallam) has said:
"You (i.e. women) have a jihaad that does not involve fighting (i.e. hajj and 'umrah)."
So if she is attacked, (may Allah protect her from that), then she fights off the attacker as much as she can. (Again) if she's attacked or such, she wards off the person from herself to the best of her ability. But as for carrying weapons then it is not from her characteristics and it is imitating the men.
