1. When he studies he contemplates.
2. When he falls silent he reflects.
3. When he speaks he mentions God.
4. When something is denied he is patient.
5. When he is given something he is thankful.
6. When he is tested he says, “We belong to God and unto Him we are all returning.”
7. If someone behaves ignorantly with him he bears their abuse.
8. When he learns something he humbles himself.
9. When he teaches something he does so with gentleness.
10. When questioned he responds to the full extent of his knowledge.
