Ali Ibn Abi Talib (Radiya Allahu 'anhu) said :
"Don't be one of those who fail from thanking Allah for what he is given,
and seeks the increase of what is left, and he forbids people from committing evil
but he himself does not stop committing it, and orders people to do what he does not
do,he loves the righteous people but he does not act like them, he hates the
evil-doers while he is one of them, he takes from life what perishes and leave
of the Hereafter what lasts, he hates death because of his sins but he does not
stop from committing sins in his life".
