"Whoever treads on a path in search of Islamic knowledge, Allah will ease the way to Paradise for him. The angels will lower their wings, pleased with this seeker of knowledge, and everyone in the heavens and on earth will ask forgiveness for the knowledgeable person, even the fish in the deepest of waters will ask for his forgiveness”
[Abu Dawud, Ibn Majah, Tirmidhi # 2835-sahih hadith]
Reading this, I have just realized how a lot of the worldly things we worry about keeping or maintaining (let's say old pictures) are just useless for our akhirah. It was what we keep and maintain in our hearts, minds, and deeds that will take us through to the end (jannah iA); our actions resulting from what we believe and learn is what will last. We really have a lot to let go of especially since we are so accustomed to holding onto things living in this consumerist culture. SubhanAllah.
I can definitely relate to what your talking about, jazakullah kair for sharing that with me and everyone else..it's truly what we all think but you've said it. & Allahu mustaan , May Allah make our hearts detached from this dunya and attached to the ahkirah, ameen.
Assalam alaikum,
