"Whoever treads on a path in search of Islamic knowledge, Allah will ease the way to Paradise for him. The angels will lower their wings, pleased with this seeker of knowledge, and everyone in the heavens and on earth will ask forgiveness for the knowledgeable person, even the fish in the deepest of waters will ask for his forgiveness” [Abu Dawud, Ibn Majah, Tirmidhi # 2835-sahih hadith]

Allah’s Shade for Women
Q- The Hadith regarding the seven to whom Allah gives shade to, on the day when there will be no shade except His — is it specific to men, or will women receive the reward mentioned if they do exactly the same deeds?
A – The reward mentioned in this Hadith is not specific to men, but rather, it includes both men and women. The Hadith applies to a young girl, for instance, who grows up worshipping Allah Almighty. Similarly, it applies to women who love one another for the sake of Allah, or to a woman who, when she is seduced by a handsome man of good position, says, “Indeed, I fear Allah.”
It also applies to a woman who gives charity from good and honestly earned wealth, yet her left hand doesn’t know what her right hand has spent, and to the woman who remembers Allah when she is alone.
As for the quality of being a just Imam (ruler), or congregational prayer in the Masjid, these two are specific to men, for the prayer of a woman in her home is better for her, a fact that is related in authentic narrations from Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him).

Advice for Women: Is the Home a prison for the Muslim Women?
Sheikh Muhammad ibn Saalih al-’Uthaymeen
Translated by Abu Fouzaan Qaasim
Translated by Abu Fouzaan Qaasim
In the name of Allaah, the Most
Kind, All-Knower. May peace and blessings be upon our prophet Muhammad,
his family, companions and those who follow them in goodness until the
day of Resurrection. As for what follows;
Question:
Is there any advice for those women who believe that the home is a prison (for them)?
Sheikh Muhammad ibn Saalih al-’Uthaymeen, may Allaah have mercy upon him, says:
“Yes, that which I say to those women
is that the One who has made the house a “prison” if it is even proper
to say that is Allaah, the Mighty and Majestic. The Most High says:
“And remain in your homes.” [33:33]
Also the authentic narration of the
Prophet, may peace and blessings be upon him, stated about the women:
“and their homes are better for them”. The woman is free in her home,
she goes to every place therein and takes care of the needs of the
house and works for herself so where is the imprisonment or
confinement? Yes it is a prison for the one who wishes to be like a
man. From what is well-known is that Allaah, the Most High, has placed
certain characteristics for the men as well as for the women and He has
designated between them with regards to their physical make-up,
characteristics and intellects. And we say to the woman who says that
the woman remaining in her home is like a prison that she is in
opposition to the statement of Allaah, the Most High, where He says:
“And remain in your homes.” [33:33]
How can we consider what Allaah has
commanded with to a prison? It is like I said a prison for the one who
wishes to mix and mingle with the men and activeness. For indeed
remaining in the home includes happiness, modesty, bashfulness and
distance from fitnah (trials). Likewise in it is distancing
the women from looking at the men because when she goes out and sees
these men, this handsome young man with nice clothing and the likes she
will be put to trial likewise the men with her.
So the women must fear Allaah and
return to what their Lord and Creator and to what the Messenger of the
Lord of all the Worlds, may peace and blessings be upon him, has
mentioned to them and they must know with certainty that they are going
to meet Allaah, the Mighty and Majestic, and He will question them:
“How did you respond to the Messengers?” They do not know when they
will meet Allaah. She might wake up in her home or palace and in the
evening in her grave or vice-versa. Therefore these women must fear
Allaah and leave alone these evil western ideologies. For when these
westerns consumed these foul meats they left the bones and scraps for
us after all the meat has been eaten. Now they wish that their women
can return to being a true woman, like the Muslimah, remaining in her
home with modesty and faraway from places of evil and trials however
that will not happen for them. Is it befitting for us Muslims, we have
our own religion, our own mannerisms and characteristics to chase after
them in their wrecthedness?! Glory be to Allaah, the Great. There is no
might nor power except with Allaah.
Knowing a Man by his Moves
It is reported that Al-A’mash – Allāh have mercy on him – said:
They (the Salaf) never used to ask about [the religious condition of ] a man after knowing three things about him:
where and upon whom he entered,
where and with whom he walked, and
the close company he kept.
Meaning: Knowing these things about a man is more than sufficient for knowing whether he is following the right path on the Sunnah or not.
Ibn Battah, Al-Ibānah article 419.
Wasted Time and Effort
As-Salaamu ‘Alaykum,
Bismillah,
The Noble Scholar, Muhammad al-‘Uthaymeen, may Allah have mercy on him, said:
[2]: The Messenger’s clear manner in warning against polytheism
[3]: A lofty encouragement to work solely for Allah
[4]: We assess and interact with people based on what is apparent.
[5]: It is possible for the heart to become engrossed with corrupt intentions.
[6]: Doing deeds for other than Allah is a waste of time and effort; furthermore, there is no reward for them.
[7]: The devil is underhanded and diligent in misguiding us.
[8]: Ignore devilish whisperings and perform as many good deeds as possible.

Bismillah,
The Noble Scholar, Muhammad al-‘Uthaymeen, may Allah have mercy on him, said:
In this life, the description of a person’s actions is based upon what is apparent, so we interact with people based upon what is apparent from their conditions.
However, in order for a person’s actions to be sound, his inner actions must match these outward actions. Also, what is apparent from him must coincide with that which is hidden in him.If a person’s actions are contradictory to his intentions, and his heart becomes engrossed with corrupt aims -and we seek refuge with Allah from this- then there is no greater loss for him! He tires himself by doing deeds; yet, there is no reward for his effort.
The end result of these sorts of actions are clarified in an authentic hadeeth. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah exalt his mention and grant him safety, said: ‘Allah, the Most High, said: ‘I am not in need of any partners, whoever does an action for me and for other than me, I have abandoned him and his polytheism.’ [Collected by Muslim]
[A Subtle Point]
The devil (shaytaan) may come to you when you want to do a good deed and say, ‘You are only doing this good deed to show-off.’ As a result, he decreases your desire to do an action, and he discourages you.
Do not pay attention to this, and do not obey him; rather, perform deeds, even if he says to you: ‘You’re only performing this action to show-off or to gain a good reputation.’ Ignore him, because if someone were to ask you, ‘Are you performing this action to show-off?,’ you would surely say, ‘No!’
Therefore, these devilish whisperings that the devil entered into your heart, don’t pay attention to them. Do good deeds. And do not say to yourself, ‘I am showing-off’ and the like. (1)

Ahl us-Sunnah wal Jamaa’ah = Salafiyyah = The Saved Sect
Uploaded by ahlulsunnahwaljammah
1) Shaykh Saalih ibn Abdul-Azeez Aal us-Shaykh:
So Ahlus-Sunnah wal Jamaa’ah, this word was coined at the end of the second generation after Hijri by the followers of the narrations [Aathaar], and the opponents to the various sects that left the way of the companions [Sahaabah] and their students [Taabi'een].
And the first to use it [terminology] were some of the teachers of Al Bukharee – rahimahumuAllaah – and they joined the two words as-Sunnah and al-Jamaa’ah because there are those who call towards following Sunnah but they might not be with the Jamaa’ah. And there are those who call towards Jamaa’ah without following the Sunnah.
So the differentiation of the way of the people of Hadeeth and narrations [Athar] and the followers of the pious predecessors [Salaf-us-Saalih] is based upon two things:
“Following the Sunnah and the Jamaa’ah”
And each from both of these is bound to the other.
So following the Sunnah is following the Jamaa’ah and following the Jamaa’ah is following the Sunnah; because it has been authentically reported from the Prophet – sall-Allaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam – the narration which is in the ‘Sunan’, that he said:
“And this nation will split into seventy three sects. All of them are in the hell fire except one and that is the Jamaa’ah.”
And [speech unclear]
sects in the hell fire – meaning – that are promised with entering into
the hell fire, and the victorious is only one sect and that is the Jamaa’ah. And they are the followers of the Sunnah, exemplifying the saying of the Prophet – sall-Allaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam
“Upon you is my
Sunnah and Sunnah of the rightly guided Caliphs, those who guide to
righteousness, after me. Hold on to it and bite upon it with your
molars” – The Hadeeth

2) Shaykh Saalih bin Fawzaan al-Fawzaan
Question: Is Salafiyyah a hizb (party) amongst the parties? And is ascribing to them (the Salafis) a blameworthy thing?
Shaykh Saalih al-Fawzaan:
As-Salafiyyah is the Saved Sect and they are Ahl us-Sunnah wal
Jamaa’ah. It is not a hizb (party) from amongst the various parties,
those which are called parties today.
Rather they are the Jamaa’ah, the Jamaa’ah upon the Sunnah and upon the Deen (Religion). They are Ahl us-Sunnah wal-Jamaa’ah.
The Prophet –
Sallallaahu alayhe wa sallam – said, “There will not cease to be a
group from my Ummah (nation) manifest and upon the truth, not being
harmed by those who forsake them neither by those who oppose them.”
And he – Sallallaahu
alayhe wa sallam – also said, “And this Ummah will split into
seventy-three sects, all of them in the Hell-Fire except one.” They
said, “Which one is this O Messenger of Allaah?” He replied, “They are
those who are upon what I and my companions are upon today.”
Hence, Salafiyyah is a
group of people (the Salafis) upon the madhab of the Salaf, upon what
the Messenger – Sallallaahu alayhe wa sallam – and his companions were
upon.
And it is not a hizb from amongst the contemporary groups present today.
Rather it is the very
old Jamaa’ah, from the time of the Messenger – Sallallaahu alayhe wa
sallam – which inherits (this way) and continues, and which never
ceases to be upon the manifest truth until the establishment of the
Hour, as he (Sallallaahu alayhe wa sallam) has informed us.
It Has Been Written For You
What has been written for you of the
sustenance will surely come to you before your death, even if you tried
to flee from it and lock yourselves in a fortress:
Jaabir bin `Abdullaah رضي الله عنه narrated that the Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم said:
“Even if the son of Aadam were to flee from his sustenance as he tries to flee from death, his sustenance will still overtake him in the same way as death overtakes him.”
