SubhanAllah today was by far a very crazy/interesting day..to start off I am disgusted by the youth in my area authobillah like honestly who fights at an islamic conference in front of Bilal Philips ? yeah it was THAT hectic. Something that involved knives & people holding down their reputation..all for the sake of what is my question? They ruined an amazing conference & it was just shy of it's last 2 hours. It honestly upset so many people & very disappointing to see that men think that strength is shown by how much men you've beat up..which is totally against what prophet muhammad (peace be upon him) which was “The strong man is not the one who wrestles others; rather, the strong man is the one who controls himself at times of anger.” [The Book of Al-Birr: Sahih Muslim] We lack knowledge which is very sad. Any who alhamdulilah the last performance kind of brightened up the mood of the whole thing, ma'sha'Allah! yet had to get shut down early because security and police arrived siggghh...I will never understand individuals & I feel for the brothers&sisters who worked so hard & woke up so early just to try to help their fellow muslimeen in benefiting :( Alhamdulilah alaa kulli haal regardless tho! I just hope the youth wake up & start realizing that it's our own fault that people think we are a horrible generation b/c we are acting like it :( May Allah guide our hearts to the light of Islam! Ameen<3 Ajeeb..the conference was called "Footsteps of the Forgotten" & we need to try to follow the Sahabah & learn from their stories in'sha'Allah cause that was the whole point of this event.
