Assalamu Alaykunna Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuhu

Ayat of the day is.....

Surah Al-Baqarah (The Cow)

45. And seek help in patience and As-Salat (the prayer) and truly it is extremely heavy and hard except for Al-Khashi'un [i.e. the true believers in Allah - those who obey Allah with full submission, fear much from His Punishment, and believe in His Promise (Paradise, etc.) and in His Warnings (Hell, etc.)].

Hadith of the day is...

HADITH 2
Also on the authority of Omar, who said : One day while we were sitting with the messenger of Allah there appeared before us a man whose clothes were exceedingly white and whose hair was exceedingly black; no signs of journeying were to be seen on him and none of us knew him. He walked up and sat down by the prophet. Resting his knees against his and placing the palms of his hands on his thighs, he said:"O Muhammed, tell me about Islam". The messenger of Allah said: "Islam is to testify that there is no god but Allah and Muhammed is the messenger of Allah, to perform the prayers, to pay the zakat, to fast in Ramadhan, and to make the pilgrimage to the House if you are able to do so." He said:"You have spoken rightly", and we were amazed at him asking him and saying that he had spoken rightly. He said: "Then tell me about eman ."He said:"It is to believe in Allah, His angels, His books, His messengers, and the Last Day, and to believe in divine destiny, both the good and the evil thereof." He said:"You have spoken rightly". He said: " Then tell me about ehsan ." He said: "It is to worship Allah as though you are seeing Him, and while you see Him not yet truly He sees you". He said: "Then tell me about the Hour". He said: "The one questioned about it knows no better than the questioner." He said: "Then tell me about its signs." He said: "That the slave-girl will give birth to her mistress and that you will see the barefooted, naked, destitute herdsman competing in constructing lofty buildings." Then he took himself off and I stayed for a time. Then he said: "O Omar, do you know who the questioner was?" I said: "Allah and His messenger know best". He said: "He was Jebreel (Gabriel), who came to you to teach you your religion." narrated by Muslim(Found in 40 Hadith Nawawi)

Some Wise Statements:

"Oh Allah, How can I ever truly thank You, when my thanking You is also a favor from You to me"

"Tracks in the sand prove the existence of a traveler, a new born baby proves the existence of a mother. So a sky full of stars, a world full of mountains and seas, does this not prove the existence of the One, the all Powerful creator."

Imaam Ahmed bin Hanbal: If Iblees was ordered to prostrate to Adam and refused thus making him a kafir, then the so called Muslim who refuses to prostrate to Allah (leaves off salah) is more deserving of this title.

Ibn al-Qayyim: Allah drove out our parents [Adam and Eve] and the devil out of Jannah due to one sin, but we foolish people sin all the time.

When it comes to my provisions, I rely upon Allaah, my Creator
And I know with certainty that He will no doubt provide for me.
Whatever’s in my due, will not pass me by,
Even if it were to be in the depths of the sea.
Allaah the Exalted will bring it forth by His Grace,
Even if I were to remain silent over it.
So, what can a soul feel sorrow over,
When the Most Merciful has set the provisions of the creation?
- Imam al-Shafi’i

“Get yourself out of this limited world of diseases to the wide world of the hereafter, which has what the eyes have never seen. Nothing is impossible there, and love is not lost. O you who sold yourself for the sake of something that will cause you suffering and pain, and which will also lose its beauty, you sold the most precious item for the cheapest price, as if you neither knew the value of the goods nor the meanness of the price. Wait until you come on the Day of mutual loss and gain and you will discover the injustice of this contract. “There is no God but Allaah” is something that Allaah is buying. Its price is Paradise, and the Messenger is its agent, and you will be pleased to part with a small part of this worldly life to obtain it. The part you lose is a small part of something that as a whole is not worth a mosquito’s wing.”

Ibn ul Qayyim al Jawziyyah

"And verily for everything that a slave loses there is a substitute, but the one who loses Allaah will never find anything to replace Him." -Imam Ibn Qayyim Al Jawziyyah RahimahUllaah

"If we truly understood our connection with Allaah, our hearts would break & we would say: O Allaah! I have divorced this life & I am all Yours." [Sufyaan Ath-Thawri-rahmatulLahi 'alayh]

`Ali bin Abi Talhah reported from Ibn `Abbas, "He is the Master Who is perfect in His sovereignty, the Most Noble Who is perfect in His nobility, the Most Magnificent Who is perfect in His magnificence, the Most Forbearing Who is perfect in His forbearance, the All-Knowing Who is perfect in His knowledge, and the Most Wise Who is perfect in His wisdom. He is the One Who is perfect in all aspects of nobility and authority. He is Allah, glory be unto Him.

"When Allaah tests you it is never to destroy you. When He removes something in your possession it is (only) in order to empty your hands for an even greater gift!" - Ibn al-Qayyim

Ibn Shubrumah mentions:

((I am amazed at the people who take care of themselves by eating food out of fear of dying, yet do not protect themselves from sins out of fear of the Fire)).

"THE KNOWLEDGE OF A HYPOCRITE IS IN HIS SPEECH, WHILE THE KNOWLEDGE OF A BELIEVER IS IN HIS ACTION."
