Allahumma akhrij min qalbiy kulla qadrin lid-dunyaa wa kulla mahallin lilkhalqiy yamiylu biy ilaa ma’siyatika aw yushghiluniy ‘an thaa ‘atika aw yahuwlu bayniy wa baynat-tahaqquqi bi ma’rifatikal khas-sah wa muhabbatikal khaalisah.

(O Allah rid my heart of: any value for the world, and place for the creatures that make me incline to disobeying you, or distracts me from obeying you, or comes between me and the realisation of elect Knowledge of You, and true love of You).
