Niqab or Burqa?

Bismillah.

Asalamu alaykum warahmatuallahi wabarakatu

Alot of people make the mistake of calling "NIQAB" (face veil which reveals the eyes) to the "BURQA" ( veil which covers face completely) . Now clearly from the picture above ^, you can identify that I am wearing a BURQA. My face is not showing, yes that's right it's covered, alhamdulilah. Now in this society and many western societies , NIQAB is worn more often, more so 99% because it's easier for people to accept the fact that your human and since you have eyes are showing it's better? yeah, if that didn't make sense, then good..it wasn't supposed too. In many parts of the Islamic world, BURQA is worn. Personally I think BURQA is waaaaaaay better then just the NIQAB, your covering your body for the sake of Allah and sometimes peoples eyes attract others to them which is not something that a person covering themselves would want.

Plain and simple.

Ma Sha Allah, Over the years there has been a growing number of sisters here in Toronto practicing NIQAB ( face veil which reveals the eyes) and that's a beautiful thing. Not only are you humbling yourself and protecting your body but your practicing something the Prophets wives wore and that the women scholars of the past had worn, so to catch my drift basically the best of the best wore it. Us being here in this life, everyday we should try to strive and achieve following the Prophet Muhammad (peace and mercy be upon him) to the best of our abilities.

May Allah make it easy for all the sisters wearing NIQAB or BURQA!
